The rights of a widow who does not have a child to the inheritance of her husband in the Batak Karo tribe.

The facts of the trial proved that the disputed assets came from the parents of the plaintiff and the late defendant’s husband (wife) which means the original property belonging to the defendant’s husband. Based on the information of the Karo tribal expert, a wife who has no children has the right to enjoy her husband’s inheritance until she dies or remarries. Because the defendant (wife) is still alive and has not remarried and do not have children, the property can still be enjoyed by the defendant (wife).
