Today’s Legal Enlightenment (Wednesday, November 24, 2021)-CROWN WITNESS IS AGAINST CRIMINAL PROCEDURAL LAW

In the case of the death of Marsinah (a Labor Figures), Crown Witness was declared as a violation of the criminal procedure law by the Supreme Court. Whereas for decades, the existence of the Crown Witness was carried out and accepted by the Judges as something right. Witness Crown is a concept where investigators divide the Minutes of Investigation and the accussed are made witnesses and vice versa witnesses are made defendants in several case files that are separated from each other.
