Today’s Legal Enlightenment (Wednesday, February 2, 2022)-“CUSTOMARY LAW THAT IS NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF LAW AND HUMAN RIGHTS”

The implementation of the customary law of the people of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), especially in Rote Ndao which adheres to the Patrilineal Inheritance System which results in girls not having the right to the inheritance of their parents, is considered no longer in accordance with the development of community law and is contrary to human rights, namely the right to obtain justice.
