Today’s Legal Enlightenment (Wednesday, December 15, 2021)-PROSECUTORS’ DEMANDS WERE NOT ACCEPTED BECAUSE ITS VIOLATED HUMAN RIGHTS

The Public Prosecutor who conducts an investigation into a suspect in suspected corruption case who is threatened with severe punishment, must appoint a Legal Counsel to protect the suspect. This is based on Article 56 of the Criminal Procedure Code which is imperative. Because the Public Prosecutor ignored this matter, the results of the investigation were invalid and the charges against him were invalid. In this case, the Supreme Court decided that the prosecutor’s indictment was unacceptable.

Supreme Court Decision No. 1565 K/Pid/1991 dated September 16, 1993
