Today’s Legal Enlightenment (Thursday, April 28, 2022) – “GRAMMATICAL INTERPRETATION OF THE WORD ‘EVERY PERSON’”

In using grammatical interpretation, the word ‘every person’ cannot be interpreted in the sense of anyone or everyone. It should carry out the classification of the subject (perpetrator) of criminal acts. The word ‘every person’ in Article 2 paragraph 1 of the Anti-Corruption Law is an individual in a position as a private individual who conducted private tasks. On the other hand, every person in Article 3 is an individual who has the quality as a holder of a state/government office running a public office.
