Today’s Legal Enlightenment (Friday, December 17, 2021)-THE PUBLIC PROSECUTOR MAY FILE AN APPEAL AGAINST THE ACQUITTAL DECISION

Based on Article 244 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the Public Prosecutor is not allowed to file an appeal to the Supreme Court against an acquitted decision. However, the Constitutional Court has issued a Decision confirming that the Public Prosecutor is allowed to file an appeal to the Supreme Court against the Decision or Acquittal issued by the District Court.
