“RELIGIOUS CONVERSION DOES NOT CAUSE THE MARRIAGE TO BE ANNULLED”

According to the law, religious conversion does not result in the annulment of the marriage (Article 72 HOCI). Based on Article 66 of Law No. 1/1974 in conjunction with Article 47 Government Regulation No. 9/1975, Article 72 of the HOCI is still valid, because this has not been regulated in the new marriage law and its government regulations.
