Today’s Legal Enlightenment (Wednesday, March 9, 2022) – “EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT BETWEEN REPRESENTATIVES OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES AND LOCAL WORKERS”
Employment contract between representatives of foreign countries and local workers/staff are subject to the provisions of Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower so that they are entitled to receive compensation for layoffs. The employment contract is not related to diplomatic and consular functions so that diplomatic immunity does not apply to it and as referred to in the Vienna Convention in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 198.
