A divorce occurs (for Muslims) is when the divorce is declared in the Decision Trial at the Religious Court, not at the time of registration of the Divorce Decision of the Religious Court with the Divorce Registrar. Even though they have children, the distribution of Joint Assets is not divided by three and is only divided in half between the divorced husband and wife
