Today’s Legal Enlightenment (Thursday, 08 September 2022) – “A JUDGE IS AUTHORIZED TO REJECT A DEFENDANT’S REQUEST TO ADJOURN A TRIAL”
For the sake of the function of the court, which must resolve a case by providing prompt justice, a judge is authorized to reject the request of a Defendant who always asks to adjourn a trial if it appears that there is bad faith from the Defendant, namely to hinder the proceedings.
